My Day in Beaumont TX
Recently, I took a trip down to Beaumont, Texas with my wife. The weather at this time of year is fantastic if you’re like me and bundle up as soon as the temperature dips below 60 degrees. The city of Beaumont offered plenty to do as well, leaving my wife and I wanting more of what it had to offer.
After we settled into our hotel, we went to go grab a quick bite at JWilsons (I had the Roasted Pecan Chicken Salad—which was to die for) and set off for the Beaumont Botanical Gardens.
The garden was nothing short of amazing. It’s absolutely huge, with over 10 themed gardens. It was impossible to see all in one go, but that’s okay, we got more than an eyeful. They had a few live tours, one of which we took part in, and learned a lot about the history of the garden and Beaumont as a whole.
Though we were only there for a few days, the city left an impact on us. The locals were for the most part friendly, and willing to chat with us and give us directions. The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce was well organized and provided helpful information in regards to any questions I had. I will be returning soon on a business trip. Quite frankly, I can’t wait.
